It does not include information that has been made anonymous or aggregated so that it can no longer be used to identify a specific person, whether in combination with other information or otherwise

This Privacy Policy does not cover any information that You may disclose to third party websites, including the ones that you may be directed to from the Site or Services.

The Personal Information we collect via the Site includes the following:

   • Personal information you give us when you register or update your account with us such as your name, university or company affiliation, telephone numbers or email addresses
   • Personal information you give us when you use our Services, including content that you generate or that is connected to your account as a result of a project post, application, project execution, project closure or award application
   • Personal information you give us when you communicate with us over our customer support or other channels.
2. b) Information we collect about you:
   • Any additional information that we may be required or authorized by applicable national laws to collect and process in order to authenticate or identify you or to verify the information we have collected
   • Personal information that we may access when you use our Services, such as Device ID or unique identifier, device type, unique device token or geo-location information, including location information from your mobile device.
   • Personal information we may collect using cookies, web beacons, unique identifiers and similar technologies to collect information about the pages you view, the links you click and other actions you take on our Services.
3. c) Information we receive from other sources:
   • Personal information we may collect from third parties - including but not limited to demographic information, additional contact information, credit check information or other websites.

  • Information on project opportunities will be posted on the site and will be visible to all Users;
  • Student profiles will be made accessible by Sponsors of projects that the student applies to, for a limited period of time, in order to enable the Sponsor make an informed selection decision;
  • Contact details of Sponsors and Students will be shared among Project teams after team members have confirmed their decision to join the project team.
• To notify you about changes to our Services;
• To contact you about your account and our Services.

Personal Information we collect from you.We will use this information as follows:

• To provide and improve our Services;
• To provide you with a personalized experience;
• improve our Site to ensure that the content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device;
• detect, prevent, mitigate and investigate fraudulent or illegal activities;
• select marketing activities

Personal Information we receive from other sources.We may combine this information with information you give to us and information we collect about you. We may use this information and the combined information for the purposes set out above (depending on the types of information we receive).

Upon your request, we will close your account and subject to paragraph 6 above remove your Personal Information from the Site as soon as reasonably possible. Please note that we may not be able to change or remove certain public postings You may have made on the Site.

We use several technical and administrative security measures - such as firewalls, data encryption and access controls - to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure and alteration of your Personal Information. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee security of your data transmitted to the Site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.

You may have access to Personal Information of other users of ProjectSet - including but not limited to CVs, Profiles, etc. - through your access and use of the Site and Services. You must use such information solely for the intended purposes as expressly consented by the user or owner of the information. Using the Personal Information of others for any other purpose constitutes a violation of your Terms of Use with us.

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you by us. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs of providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
